The concept for my blog comes from the way my mind works. I’ve always looked for the easiest way to achieve anything, whether its how to get from A to B or how to do the food shopping, I like to work out the best strategy for making that task easier the next time I do it. Now don’t worry, I don’t obsess about this – I’m a control freak in recovery this mind set has helped me enormously in the internet marketing business.
Internet Marketing Start Up
Everyone in internet marketing, was once a newbie or noob as newcomers to IM are known. We all found something about this business fascinating and wanted to take up that challenge and start learning about making money online. But all of us, found out that the hype and the fuss is just that, hype and fuss! There is a lot to learn and some of the things you learn, suddenly up and change overnight! I liken it to learning a new language, when you first start out it all seems like gibberish but you are determined to understand something, so you keep on going. Eventually things in internet marketing become familiar and you begin to relax. Then as you relax, you learn more and slowly you realise you can actually help others who are struggling or stuck.
Internet Marketers Love To Help
I’d say honestly most Internet Marketers are really happy to help but some get caught up in the ‘lights’ and can’t seem to focus anymore. They can literally get star struck by their own fame and stop caring about their followers. The phrase ‘followers’ was once a rather uncomfortable suggestion but nowadays we are talking about your Facebook or Twitter following or in the case of an internet marketer, it may be their ‘list’.
It’s All In The List For The Internet Marketer …
Well, yes and no. The ‘list’ as its known is the list of emails that an Internet Marketer can collect using a variety of strategies. Often the value of a ‘list’ can be discussed in monetary terms and the usual suggestion is that each email is worth $1 a month to a marketer who takes the time to promote products, their own or other respected marketers, to their email list. There are lots of IMers who don’t earn their main income through their list but rather share with other marketers what they are doing, learning and succeeding in. And the pay off for doing that, is the list will buy through their links and they can make a supplemental income.
Learn From Doing As An Internet Marketer
Oh yes, never a truer phrase in my book – you learn more from actually ‘doing’ internet marketing than anything anyone can tell you! I don’t promote any strategies that I haven’t benefited from in some way. I don’t promote products that I wont or don’t use in any way. I like to test everything and that’s what gets my brain going. Some mornings at 5am, the ‘little cat’ Monty will be meowing at the window (he refuses to use the cat flap as he and the 3 dogs had an altercation a while back, so he now uses the VIP entrance through my window!) and I’ll then be wide awake so what better time to check my iphone for emails! (Nothing is ‘normal’ in IM and work hours, well don’t even go there!) As I frequently have to ban myself from checking emails and the Warrior Forum, I then sneak a peak at what’s hot and what new lovely shiny things are being offered. From my iphone I have purchased more products than from any other computer in my home! I can watch the youtube video on the iphone, I can read the forum thread and it’s really the only time of day I allow myself such luxuries.
Internet Marketing Strategies
A lot of the developers and plugin/software creators, are strategists by nature. They have brains that automatically work things out and they follow an instinctive thinking process that is considered very entrepreneurial. I too am a strategist by nature and love nothing more than putting two plugins together and seeing how well they work as a team. Or I’ll look at a new plugin and see how well that could be used for something else. This is the kind of internet marketing information I share with my members and my ‘list’.
Make Money Online With Internet Marketing
You really can make money online with internet marketing but there are steps you need to take and tools that will help you to automate but I recommend one step at a time. Spend your money wisely and build up your knowledge first, then begin to automate and outsource more as you build your business. There are several business models within online marketing so you’ll need to choose which one to begin with.
To get started in IM you will first need to find a profitable niche. Niche research is an area of some discussion amongst Internet Marketers as they sometimes get stuck! Then what do you do, when the ideas have dried up? So I’ve written a post and made a video giving you some tips on where to get started with your niche research.
Now once you’ve chosen or have completed research on your niche, you then need to do some keyword research. It is important to collect keywords that are easier for you to compete for ranking, aswell as providing you with a list of related keyword to write your articles about. Keyword research tools are an important part of any serious internet marketers tool kit. You will find new software being developed regularly. I show more of the tools I use in the membership and regularly update those if there is an update that is useful.
Internet Marketing Resources – The Warrior Forum & WSO’s
The Warrior Forum is an excellent place to get information and ask questions about anything related to online marketing and making money online. The ‘warriors’ as they are know, are more than happy to help and share information freely. Because there are about a quater of a million people using this forum, there is always going to be someone online who can provide you with support. What’s even better about the Warrior Forum is the WSO. WSO’s are Warrior Special Offers and these provide a brilliant platform for you to get your tool kit started. A constant stream of better, faster, more effective and efficient products are being launched daily. It can be overwhelming for a newbie (even for a more experienced marketer – just ask them!) as the ‘sales pages’ are so convincing and inviting and its very easy to catch what we call ‘shiny object syndrome’ or SOS! So I suggest only buying through recommendation to begin with and only what you know fits your existing business model.
Internet Marketing Made Easier – WSO
You will find my first WSO very useful when you are starting out. The templates provide you with a starting point in how to actually set up and add content to your site and do this properly! I failed miserably with my first few sites because I had no idea how to optimize my content so that Google would index the keywords I was targeting. If I could go back to those steps I would definitely have started differently and made inroads much more quickly.
Internet Marketing Made Easier – WSO1
The WSO comes with full video and PDF instructions on how to set up and manage your business but I’ve added the actual templates that include spreadsheets with all the @Sums in place. These will work easily for anyone who has Excel or Open Office (which is a free open source application). I provide coaching in how to benefit from starting out with these templates and how you will become naturally more successful by running your internet marketing business effectively.
